And so it began...

My intention for this blog is for it to be a record of my gaming experiences, trials, tribulations and painting and modelling efforts.

Bushido

This gaming system has just been released in the UK by a company called GCT Studios

Bushido is an oriental fantasy tabletop miniature battle game for two players. Each player commands a force of no more than a handful of individuals, represented by 32mm metal miniatures. Bushido falls into the ‘skirmish game’ category.  A typical game of Bushido takes between one and two hours to play.
At this stage only the quick start rules are avaliable but the good news is they are free and can be downloaded as a PDF

I have played three games of it now and found it great. The combat system reminds me of the old confrontation rules and the alternative model activation allows for great tactical game play.
Currently there are four factions which can be summed up briefly as:
Prefecture of Ryu - Samurai
Temple of Ro-Kan - Kung Fu monks
The Savage Wave - Monsters
Cult of Yurei - Undead
I hope to get some models ordered soon.
