Came across a great new game on Kickstarter that I have backed. The game is Zero Hour
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1336904045/zero-hour-survival-horror-card-game
You can go on yourself and have a read but short description is you have a group of children lost in the woods and you have to keep them from going insane until dawn breaks. Blair Witch project anyone...
The artwork is fantastic and mechanics look good.
And so it began...
My intention for this blog is for it to be a record of my gaming experiences, trials, tribulations and painting and modelling efforts.

Board game time
Picked up a new board game yesterday from Andrew at Hobby Hub. Called Legends of Andor it is a beautiful game with heaps of components. Unique learn to play angle whereby you only start with a 4 page basic rule book the rules evolve as you play more missions. It is a co-op game so you can play it solo. The other cool thing is that the board is double sided so when it gets harder you flip it over. Oh and it has a big nasty dragon!

Impetus tournament at Southcon
Well Southcon is all behind me now and what a great couple of days. Good turnout and some tough games over the two days. Myself I ended up with 3 wins, a draw and a lose placing me second overall. Che Tibbey with his Romans won and Tim Ward with a beautiful Samurai army got best army. Here are some of the pictures from the event.

Impetus Korean Light Cavalry
Light cav all done and dusted. To be fair I have actually finished the whole army but have not taken any new pictures. Will do so later this week.
This weekend Southcon is on so all very excited. Tournaments and organised events are a great way of getting armies painted. So for me one month to do an Impetus army is real good.
I had another practice game during the week and just came out on top against Caesar's best. Getting a good handle on the rules so pretty comfortable going into the weekend.
Anyway here they are...

Latest update of Koreans for Impetus
Not as much done as I'd hoped but here is completed so far. I have 90% finished one more unit of spearmen and have my last foot unit (of archers) under coated. Plan was to have all my foot units done this weekend but Mother's Day activity and trimming a hedge got in the way.

The Good Life
Having a great day. Took the day off work and am sitting in the sun painting my Koreans listening to ancient-warfare magazine podcasts.
